9 Matrix Grid
Explore the 9-box matrix grid as a performance and potential evaluation tool to categorize employees for talent development and succession - Jisr Glossary.
What does the 9-Grid Matrix mean?
The 9-Grid Matrix is a method for measuring an employee’s potential and capabilities, divided into nine sections that focus on evaluating their current performance and predicting how well they will perform in the future. Its purpose is to identify the top talent on the team and select the next manager.
The matrix is divided vertically into three sections and horizontally into three sections as well. The three vertical levels indicate the assessment of current performance (low, medium, high), while the three horizontal levels indicate the assessment of potential for future development (low, medium, high). First, each employee is evaluated, and then their names are placed in the grid’s cells according to their performance and potential, making it easy to identify the top performers in both areas.
