The required number varies depending on the Nitaq level of each entity. The number is calculated based on the type of economic activity of each organization and the total number of actual employees in the entity. You can find the exact number of Saudis you need to hire using the Jisr Nitaqat Calculator.
First, a mathematical formula is applied to determine the minimum percentage for the level to classify entities within the 5 levels. Then, the formula is applied to each level separately to determine its minimum percentages. The organization's level is determined by aligning the entity's Saudization rate with the level values derived from the formulas. For more details, check the the procedural guide of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
The Saudization rate for each entity varies based on the organization's economic activity and its current Saudization rate. The developed Nitaqat program aims to make the relationship between the organization's size and its Saudization rate more compatible with growth acceleration goals.
Organizations with 5 or fewer employees fall under a different Nitaqat classification with two categories: green and red. They must employ at least one Saudi to remain at the green level.
You can inquire about your organization's Nitaqat level by registering on the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development's website.
All organizations and entities operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must register to benefit from the services of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
The Saudization rate is calculated by dividing the total average number of Saudi employees in the organization by (the total average number of Saudi employees + the total average number of expatriate employees) * 100.
