Agile Workforce

Understand the agile workforce concept in HR and how it helps companies attract skilled, flexible talent that adapts to changing markets - Jisr Glossary.

Definition of an Agile Workforce

"Agile workforce" is one of the latest terms in human resources, referring to highly skilled employees who work in technical and administrative fields requiring advanced knowledge and specialized skills, for example, software developers, data analysts, and mobile app developers. This workforce is drawn to freelance work for several reasons, including flexibility and the ability to develop and grow freely.

The number of agile workforce members has grown significantly in recent decades, and this has been accompanied by an increasing need for companies to hire them. Before hiring these professionals, human resources departments need to identify the core skills that will be required in the near future, assess current skill gaps among employees, and then determine how to acquire these skills, whether through training the current workforce, permanently hiring new employees, or resorting to short-term solutions such as hiring freelancers.
