Job Summary:

The Emergency Medical Specialist provides professional and timely emergency medical care to patients, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate healthcare services. The specialist is responsible for assessing and managing patients with acute and emergency medical conditions, providing appropriate interventions, stabilizing patients, and coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate patients presenting with acute and emergency medical conditions.
• Provide immediate and appropriate emergency medical interventions based on clinical protocols and guidelines.
• Perform patient assessment, monitoring, stabilization, and ongoing reassessment.
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as authorized and within the scope of practice.
• Recognize changes in patient conditions and respond promptly to clinical deterioration.
• Perform and assist with emergency procedures and interventions as required.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, ambulance teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient medical records and clinical documentation.
• Provide patients and families with appropriate information and support regarding medical conditions and treatment.
• Ensure proper infection prevention and control practices are followed at all times.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations while maintaining patient safety and professional standards.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, CBAHI standards, and applicable healthcare regulations.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Medical Services or a related field.
• Valid classification and registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Previous experience in emergency medical services or a related clinical setting is required.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to respond effectively and calmly in emergency situations.
• Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and clinical protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
