JOB PURPOSE:

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager / IT Lead to manage and secure the Head Office IT environment. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity, along with responsibility for IT asset procurement, system design, and security best practices. The ideal candidate will ensure reliable IT operations while protecting the organization against cyber threats.

PRINCIPAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

IT Infrastructure & Operations

• Manage end-to-end IT infrastructure including servers, workstations, storage, printers, and peripherals
• Oversee hardware and software installation, configuration, upgrades, and lifecycle management
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all IT systems
• Manage Active Directory, user access, permissions, and role-based configurations

Cybersecurity & Information Security

• Design, implement, and enforce cybersecurity best practices across the organization
• Protect systems against malware, ransomware, phishing, data breaches, and unauthorized access
• Implement and manage firewalls, endpoint protection, antivirus, EDR/XDR, and patch management
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response
• Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and applicable cybersecurity standards

Networking

• Design, manage, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, VLANs, switches, and firewalls
• Monitor network performance and security
• Implement network segmentation and secure access controls

IT Asset Management & Procurement

• Handle IT purchasing and vendor management
• Recommend best hardware/software configurations based on employee job roles and business needs
• Manage IT inventory, warranties, licenses, and renewals
• Optimize costs while maintaining performance and security standards

Email & Communication Systems

• Manage corporate email systems (Microsoft 365 / Exchange / Google Workspace)
• Configure email security including spam filtering, phishing protection, MFA, and email policies
• Ensure reliable backups and data retention

Biometric & Access Control Systems

• Manage biometric attendance and access control systems
• Integrate biometric systems with HR or attendance platforms
• Ensure data security and system uptime

Leadership & Support

• Lead and mentor IT support staff and engineers
• Define IT procedures, documentation, and SOPs
• Act as an escalation point for complex IT and security issues
• Coordinate with management on IT strategy and improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• 8+ years of IT experience, including infrastructure and security
• Strong hands-on knowledge of:

• • Hardware & software management

  • Networking (switches, firewalls, VPNs)

  • Cybersecurity tools and frameworks

• Experience with email systems, biometric systems, and endpoint security
• Proven experience in IT procurement and asset lifecycle management
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
• Provide end-user technical support for approximately 600 users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure smooth business operations.
• Support and maintain civil engineering applications, including the Autodesk suite (AutoCAD and related products) and Adobe software family across the organization.
• Manage and administer Avaya VoIP communication systems, ensuring reliable voice services and troubleshooting telephony issues.
• Configure and maintain Sophos Firewall security infrastructure, including firewall policies, VPN access, and network security controls.
• Manage and monitor Mesh wireless network devices to ensure reliable wireless connectivity across office and project environments.
• Coordinate the deployment and setup of IT infrastructure for new projects, including network devices, workstations, and connectivity solutions.
• Provide remote support and license management for Autodesk applications, ensuring proper installation, updates, and troubleshooting.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including user account management, licensing, security policies, and cloud services.
• Manage and maintain Windows File Servers, ensuring proper access control, data availability, and backup procedures.
• Administer Active Directory services, including user provisioning, group policy management, and access control.
• Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and system configurations to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
