Job Summary:
As the Inventory & Distribution Operations Manager, you will be a key leader within the Operations team, driving the end-to-end management of inventory across Salasa’s fulfilment network in KSA. This critical role has a dual reporting line: directly to the Operations organization and functionally to the Planning & Analytics team.
You will oversee the entire inventory lifecycle, from inbound receiving, put away, and replenishment to inventory control and distribution across all fulfilment points. A central focus will be ensuring inventory is optimally positioned across the network to support timely and complete order fulfilment. You will work closely with the Planning & Analytics team to forecast and align inventory needs, and coordinate with the Transportation team to move inventory proactively and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Movement & Control
· Manage and optimize all processes related to inventory flow: from receiving and put away to internal transfers, replenishments, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
· Drive operational excellence in inventory accuracy and integrity across multiple fulfilment centres.
· Inventory Distribution Across Fulfilment Points
· Own the strategic positioning and redistribution of inventory across all Salasa fulfilment sites to meet demand and service levels.
· Work hand-in-hand with the Planning & Analytics team to anticipate needs and develop proactive inventory distribution plans.
· Coordinate with the Transportation team to execute timely inter-site movements, ensuring inventory is always in the right place at the right time.
Operational Leadership
· Lead day-to-day inventory operations teams to deliver on KPIs such as inventory accuracy, stock availability, put away and replenishment turnaround, and inter-warehouse transfer performance.
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate service levels across inbound, inventory, and replenishment activities.
· Data-Driven Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Collaborate with Planning & Analytics to align on demand forecasts and inventory distribution strategies.
· Ensure seamless integration between planning insights and operational execution, translating demand plans into actionable operational inventory moves.
· Prepare and share operational performance reports, highlighting key metrics, trends, and improvement opportunities to senior management.
Network Health & Continuous Improvement:
· Develop and monitor a robust set of KPIs covering inventory movement, distribution effectiveness, and fulfilment support.
· Champion best practices and new initiatives (including automation, systems improvements, and analytics dashboards) to drive continuous improvement across the inventory and distribution network.
Profile Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
· 5+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain operations, or logistics, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
· Strong expertise in fulfilment operations, including inbound, inventory control, replenishment, and multi-site distribution.
· Proven ability to partner with planning and analytics functions to translate forecasts into operational execution.
· Familiarity with eCommerce fulfilment, dark store, and B2C logistics operations is highly desirable.
· Hands-on experience in using WMS, inventory management systems, and developing or consuming dashboards (Power BI preferred).
· Proficiency in MS Excel required; knowledge of SQL, Python, or other analytics tools is a plus.
· Strong analytical mindset, able to interpret large datasets and develop actionable insights.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to motivate teams and align cross-functional stakeholders.
· Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
