Salasa has two sets of offerings:

A. Offline:

  1. Mega fulfillment centers: large-scale facilities to receive stocks of our clients, store them, prepare orders and dispatch them.
  2. Darstores: small warehouses distrubuted across main cities to do on-demand delivery and two-hour delivery.
  3. Last mile delivery: through our own subsidiary or aggregator option.
  4. Bonded-zones (new): custom-free areas where merchants can store their products withouth the need for licenses and registrations.
  5. Cross-border (new): enabling merchants from anywhere in the world to ship to anywhere in the world.

B. Online: Salasa One (order management system) with integrations with online web stores such as Zed, Salla and Shopify and with warehouse management systems and transport management system. This is the one-stop-shop for our clients to manage their processes and supply chain end-to-end.


Role Summary: 

The Operations Excellence Coordinator supports the Operations Excellence team in driving process improvement, operational governance, performance reporting, and cross-functional initiatives across Salasa’s fulfillment, transportation, and logistics operations. The role is responsible for collecting and analyzing operational data, monitoring KPIs, coordinating improvement projects, supporting audits, and ensuring operational standards are consistently implemented across sites.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Maintain and update operational performance dashboards, reports, and KPI trackers.

·        Collect, validate, and analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.

·        Coordinate operational excellence initiatives across fulfillment centers, dark stores, transportation, and support functions.

·        Support the implementation and follow-up of continuous improvement projects.

·        Assist in documenting and maintaining SOPs, work instructions, policies, and process maps.

·        Track action items arising from audits, operational reviews, and management meetings.

·        Support operational audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to company standards.

·        Prepare weekly and monthly operational performance reports for management.

·        Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely execution of improvement plans.

·        Monitor operational SLAs and escalate performance gaps when necessary.

·        Support workforce productivity and process optimization studies.

·        Assist in preparing presentations, business reviews, and executive reports.

·        Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

·        Maintain project documentation and ensure proper record-keeping.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

·        0–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, operations excellence, business excellence, or process improvement.

·        Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

·        Strong analytical and reporting skills.

·        Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

·        Knowledge of KPI management, process mapping, and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

·        Experience with BI tools such as Power BI is an advantage.
