We are seeking a motivated and committed Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of civil engineering training programs at our campus.

Job Summary

The Teaching Assistant will support instructors during theoretical and practical sessions, assist in workshop activities, and contribute to trainee guidance and assessment. The role focuses on ensuring effective lesson delivery, hands-on training support, and a safe learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support instructors during classroom and workshop sessions, including preparation of training materials and equipment.
• Assist in delivering practical training in areas such as basic surveying, construction practices, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), quantity take-off, and computer applications.
• Monitor trainee attendance, engagement, and participation during sessions.
• Support assessments, assignments, and practical evaluations under instructor supervision.
• Ensure workshops and training areas comply with safety regulations and campus procedures.
• Assist in organizing tools, materials, and workshop layouts before and after sessions.
• Provide academic and practical support to trainees as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Basic practical experience or strong hands-on skills in construction-related activities.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, basic quantities, and site practices.
• Basic proficiency in computer applications (AutoCAD, Excel, or similar); exposure to BIM tools is an advantage.
• Good command of the English language (spoken and written).
• Good communication skills and ability to support trainees with varying skill levels.
• Willingness to work in workshop-based and practical training environments.
