Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fiber Optics Technician with a diploma in a relevant field to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both OSP (Outside Plant) and ISP (Inside Plant) networking practices, along with hands-on experience in fiber optics installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of networking practices, methods, equipment, materials, and tools for OSP and ISP.
• Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions related to the work.
• Experience with cable pulling, trunk installation, and cable tray setups.
• Installation of LAN switches, crimping of CAT-5, CAT-6, CAT-6A, and CAT-7 cables, with experience working on Riyadh Metro projects.
• Patching in various types of cabinets and splicing all kinds of optical fiber cables.
• Ability to interpret and work from instruction plans, sketches, and blueprints.
• In-depth knowledge of FTTH and FTTB panel termination, testing, and labeling, as well as the installation of cable trays and PVC or EMT pipes.
• Managing logistics for materials and project requirements as per design specifications.
• Coordinating with clients and site design engineers on electrical cabling and job execution.
• Installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting according to standards.
• FTTH maintenance, repair, and fiber installation.
• Configuration knowledge of HUAWEI, MOTOROLA, ZTE, and ALCATEL modems.
• Installation, termination, testing, and labeling of single-mode fiber optic cables.
• Familiarity with various types of connectors used in fiber patch cords and UTP installations, including cabinets and patch panels.
• Installation of different types of telecommunication equipment in racks.
• Testing and Fluke scanning of UTP and fiber cables.
• Installation of CCTV and access control systems.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in fiber optics technology and networking.
• Strong technical skills and the ability to manage and execute projects efficiently.
