Job Title: GMAW Welder

Department: Production
Location: Al-Qahtani PCK Pipe Factory – 2nd Industrial City, Dammam, Saudi Arabia
Reports To: Production Supervisor

Job Summary:
The GMAW Welder is responsible for performing welding operations using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW / MIG Welding) as part of the production process for **LSAW (Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welded) pipe manufacturing. The role ensures welding activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved quality standards and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding activities using GMAW welding processes according to approved welding procedures and specifications (WPS).
• Operate and set up welding machines and related equipment required for pipe production operations.
• Execute welding work on pipe sections, steel components, and production assemblies during manufacturing stages.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and production instructions.
• Conduct visual inspection of welds and ensure compliance with quality standards and technical specifications.
• Support production targets by maintaining welding efficiency and minimizing production delays.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
• Follow all company HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Report welding defects, equipment malfunctions, or operational issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and ensure proper handling of welding tools and materials.
• Perform additional production-related duties as assigned by management when required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Technical diploma or vocational certification in Welding or related field is preferred.
• Minimum experience in GMAW / MIG welding operations within industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Previous experience in steel pipe manufacturing, LSAW pipe production, or heavy industry is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of welding procedures, welding parameters, and fabrication standards.
• Ability to read technical drawings and welding instructions.
• Knowledge of quality requirements related to industrial welding operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while meeting operational deadlines.
