Job Title: Barista
Department: Operation Management Department
Serving hot and cold beverages to guests with high quality in accordance with Alkhalejiah standards, ensuring guest satisfaction through professional service and courteous conduct, while adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Adhere to approved policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring compliance with relevant local and international standards.
Comply with health and safety standards to protect individuals and facilities from potential hazards.
Prepare and standardize coffee equipment and ingredients according to specified standards.
Regularly clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and equipment.
Ensure the application of food safety standards during all stages of preparation and storage.
Verify that all ingredients used are safe and fit for consumption.
Notify the Area Leader in case of shortages in supplies or inventory.
Regularly monitor stock through inventory checks, order receiving, and proper storage.
Operate the point of sale (POS) system and accurately handle cash duties.
Prepare daily orders and issue invoices.
Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, tea, juices, and others.
Prepare and present orders, including heating and serving, in line with set standards.
Communicate politely with guests and maintain professionalism when taking orders and providing service.
Explain menu items and ingredients and make appropriate suggestions to guests.
Be knowledgeable about allergens and product ingredients and communicate them to customers when needed.
Report any customer issues or complaints to the Area Leader for appropriate action.
Ensure the cleanliness and safety of service and guest seating areas.
Support the hospitality team by organizing and setting up when needed or performing additional tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth execution of tasks in line with operational requirements.
Ensure adherence to all relevant policies and procedures described in the AKCC Integrated Management System.
Ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System standards (ISO 9001 / ISO 22000 / ISO 45001 / ISO 14001).
Certificate in a related field or equivalent.
0 to 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
Training experience in coffee preparation and brewing.
