Job Title : Project Officer "Taiz"
Reporting to : Project Coordinator
Supervises : Field Assistant, Community Mobilizer (Taiz )
Location : Taiz, Yemen (with field travel as required)
1. Position Purpose
The Project Officer supports the implementation of livelihoods, value chain, agricultural, and SRFF activities in Al-Mawasit and Tuban. The role ensures quality delivery of trainings, group formation, community engagement, field supervision, and reporting.
2- Key Responsibilities:
Training and Activity Implementation
· Coordinating and supervising fieldwork
· Coordinating and supervising adult literacy, business skills, vocational training, and post-harvest training programs for targeted beneficiaries.
· Supporting the establishment and strengthening of farmer and women's groups.
· Facilitating climate-smart agriculture training and connecting farmer groups with market/value chain actors.
· Supervising the implementation of sustainable agricultural finance groups, including training facilitators and community participants.
· Managing and monitoring incentives for agricultural extension staff and community finance groups.
Community Engagement
· Mobilizing beneficiaries and maintaining close contact with farmers, women's groups, and community leaders.
· Coordinating with local authorities, partners, trainers, and extension staff to ensure smooth implementation.
Monitoring and Reporting
· Conducting regular field visits to ensure quality implementation and gather feedback.
· Preparing weekly and monthly progress updates and documenting success stories.
Logistics and Management
· Coordinating logistics related to training, venues, materials, and transportation.
· Maintaining accurate records of beneficiaries, groups, and activities.
3. Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
· Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least three years of experience in the same field.
· A basic understanding of agricultural practices, value chains, and cooperative projects and funds is an asset.
